Composition Girls

They are drawn in my composition notebook. There is just something about my composition notebooks that takes the pressure off and drawings turn out better---then I am bummed because it's in the composition book. I tried to get rid of the blue lines but my Photoshop tutorial about that didn't work and the blue lines turned grey and stayed there. Well, that's another story. They just don't scan very well. I think I might paint them or transfer them or----something

Martha, great faces and I agree, my art journals are always filled with great stuff, just cause they were done with the flow and not on demand. Hugs

I actually don't see the lines....I see art in its purity.

Yes, beautiful compositions - funny how free and uplifting our right brain is when we are just playing!

Actually, the lines don't bother me... perhaps a design element crying for your gorgeous backgrounds and calligraphy?

Great sketches martha!
I'm enjoying watching the calligraphy videos ;) I'm still waiting for my parallel pens but they should arrive any day.
You're a good teacher!

I love the hair and the eyes and the lips. Oh, I love the drawings. But really the hair is awesome.

what lovely ladies!! Sometimes if I really love how a drawing is in my journal I'll use some tracing paper and my light box and trace it onto canvas or oil paper/acrylic paper etc and do a painted version.

oh yes....the composition book is where all of the masterpieces lie.....right there in the "no pressure zone"!! you'll figure out a way to erase those lines (or use them to your advantage in a great collage!)....she's gorgeous! :)
