This was a drawing I did quite some time ago for an online class in portraits. As I have mentioned before I am pulling out drawings that I have done and coloring them with Copic markers. Faces are a new challenge but I think I have the right colors in Copics now. I would love to do a faces class with
Monica Zuniga---but when you look at her blog she has a spooky face there. It's a great spooky face but if you look at her header you will see the beautiful faces she draws. Maybe I will do that soon. I think I am getting into the face thing again.
Hey, it's fall here---70 degrees and sunny. Cooler weather finally---beautiful! I hope you all are having a wonderful fall Day!!

Hi Martha! How pretty! Your coloring is excellent, and I love the movement you show in their hair and with the swirling leaves...AND those leaves are gorgeous! Have a great fall weekend! =D Paulette
i LOVE it! you could easily be illustrating children's books!! :)
You do faces beautifully! Both have such natural colorings and I really like their expressions. I always thought that faces were the hardest thing of all to do. And I agree with lori, you should be illustrating books! ~K
these faces are so beautiful! and they do look like sisters!
This is wonderful, once again, Martha!! It looks like you've really got the hang of the copic markers. Very nice! I've always loved this pic, when you had done it in acrylics. One of these days, I'm going to have to get one of your prints.....
You mentioned Monica's class. It is wonderful, and I am so glad that I took it. She works on the individual features...eyes, mouths, etc. Then we worked on proportion, and how to put it all together. I learned more from her class than I could believe. If you get the chance to take her class...go for it!!! I highly recommend it!!!! I still am drawn to faces too....You have a lovely weekend too. It is suppose to be nice here tomorrow...finally, and I am going to try to spend some time outside, while I still can!
Morning Martha! Monica's class is still taking sign ups. Just went and checked it out. Take her Drawing Faces with pencil class to start with. It is very indepth and teaches you to draw faces, shading, front views, profiles and a bunch of other things. You already have the talent...just like me you can now develop it! Lots of videos, info and such too.
Go for it!!! I'm going to sign up for your new class soon. Seems I am always taking classes...lol!!!
Happy Sunday to ya!
