I still will paint Poppies but I will do some blogging of some of my girls--my other addiction du jour. I like to draw my girls when I am sitting down watching TV. I have lots of girls so I will blog a few of them. I might even paint some of them. I want my girls to have a sweet look and most of them come out that way but sometimes a girl will be very persive and you just can't bring her (draw her) into a different mood. All the girls have different personalities and when I draw the eyes they come alive. I really want to draw girls that are more fanciful and doll-like but for some reason that is harder for me. I am intrigued with Suziblu so if anyone has taken a class from her and how she draws her faces--please let me know what you thought of it. I know that most people seem to love her and I don't want to miss out if it's something really great.

I'm with you Martha. I can't seem to draw the whimsical girls either. I'll go check out Suzi's next class schedule and let you know. She has a huge following, so she must be doing something right.

This girl is lovely. I especially like how you drew her hair. I think she looks inquisitive.

Hi Martha,
I love your drawings of girls.
I so enjoy your blog !! You really inspire me to try to do art everyday. It's very hard at the end of the day and I'm so tired. I think about it all day long.
Thanks for your comments on my blog.

Love your girl - I sketch watching TV too. Maybe whimsical isn't your style - I don't think it is mine either, I still give it a go every so often. I have toyed with the idea of doing a Suzi Blu class - but I don't want to be a clone, you know?? I reckon I learnt enough doing Paulette Insall's class too.

Martha, I hope you read all your messages here. I wish you had a dvd to sell. I would really love it. I love your girls, and I think it is because they do look realistic! My kind of girl!!!
