Watch for Gypsies

Well, I guess only Suzi could get me to paint fire engine red hair. That's what I love about her class, she encourages everyone to play and experiment and ...paint red hair! Ok, I can do that!

Fastastic Results

As you see I haven't written this one in yet. Sometimes maybe they just need to stay blank but I like to keep some blank then when something hits me, I write. I enjoy clipping little words out of magazines and all those catalogues that come in. Teesha has inspired me. I bet it would be fun to meet her.

My Color Obsession

Do I need medication for my obsession? Yep, I'm pretty sure more color might do it!

I do love color...all colors although I am not that crazy about lavender. Not sure why actually..I think because when I wear it is makes me look washed out and pale but I love it on flowers! I am working in this journal I love the way watercolor has a mind of it's own and spreads and disperses and blends and is yum yum yummy. As you see, I am trying to work in my journals to see if I can make some headway in filling some of them up. That will take two lifetimes I am afraid but I am working on it!

I am inspired...

I am inspired today. I was reading a post from Lesley Riley's blog last night and I really was inspired by Janice Lowry. Some of you probably know who she was but I was so inspired by her sweet smile, her fascinating assemblages and all of her JOURNALS that are now in the Smithsonian! Makes me wish I was better at journaling and especially starting long ago as she did. (Not aspiring to be in the Smithsonian I might add, but how cool is that?) Well, there's always today. And actually I do have many art journals and when I think back to some of my happiest art times I always think of when I was assembling those journals and adding a page a day--no matter what it was. And here are just a few in process. The cute red on the left is my good buddy, Lori's. So, I think I will purpose myself to do this one a day thing and even try to make myself write down how I am feeling today. HUMMM...but having that being preserved for all time---not so sure about that. I think I need to write in code or pig-latin. Nope---- pig latin can be cracked. Well, we'll see...
