Stenciled Table with Annie Sloan Paints

This is my maiden voyage with the Annie Sloan Chalk paints.

I painted the table in Old White in about 30 minutes or so.

I then added Duck Egg Blue to the leg areas and stenciled
the top along with some elbow grease sanding for the shabby chic look.

I haven't waxed it yet and still deciding if I should put the dark wax.
This stencil with the numbers might have been a bit busy but no problem---
I can just paint over it and pick another stencil.
Really fun and turned out cute!
Next ---on to the upholstered side chair.  Yikes!
I'm gonna paint it-- fabric and all!

I love the Annie Sloan paints but the dark wax will really make the table look different.

I love mine that I did in duck egg but I think I might try mixing the clear and the dark wax next time--

One thing the store here told my DIL is to put the clear wax on first and see how she liked it and then go back and add some dark if she felt like it needed it--

But please don't listen to me--ha ha--I would hate to steer you in the wrong direction--

The thing is--I really don't think you can go wrong either way.

I love your table!

It is lovely!

I would not hesitate if I had your talent to even add something hand painted by you.

This is amazing! I can't wait to see how the chair turns out. Did you have to sand or prime the table to apply the chalk paint over the finish on the original?
