Girl in the Black Chapeau

She is on an 10 x 10 canvas panel. I used Shiva oils and water soluble oils for her face. I love using oils although it is more difficult for me. I guess I should use them more often but being a mixed media artist---I like to "mix "it up and use diferent things. But oils are definitely something I have a desire to know more about and use more often.
The background is collaged with acrylic paint added and acrylic is also used for her hat.

The oils give a nice rich look to your girl...very nice! I'm intimidated by oils but I did buy some water mixable oils with a Christmas gift card this year. I'm hoping to learn how to use them this year and incorporate with my mixed media as well :)

I love the way you mix your media.
It is encouraging me to be more brave. I have been a pure watercolour, or pure acrylic girl up until now.
Very pretty!

I think she is lovely AND I think with that sidewards glance she Likes what she is "sheepishly" looking at. LOL
