One of my new year's resolutions is to do more calligraphy---and not to stress about it too much. No lines, no layout, just write. This Scripture spoke to me today so I decided to write it. I will try and do more of that---hopefully. I haven't even pasted anything down, in fact there is something painted on the back of the paper. Writing on the back of scrap paper is freeing for some reason. Lack of self confidence?---probably---fear of failure?... probably. Yeah, I know, I'm a little bit crazy that way.

This is beautiful Martha! Will you leave it the way that it is right now?
I second that ! Leave it as it is .
I know what you mean, sometimes something I have done loosely turns out so much better than when I fuss and over work it.
WOW! This piece is wonderful! I like it!
ooh, i definitely think you're on to something here!! paste all of this down and it's ready for a frame! fabulous! :)
We are our own worst critics. Its so hard to let go of those little voices sometimes. Your work is so colorful and pretty. Trust in what you do and remember sometimes those ooops lead to wonderful results.
Thanks, y'all, for all the comments!! I think I will paste it down!!
And you are a recycler. If you use the painting on the front then instead of the calligraphy then you ae also giving a hidden scripture to be found one day.
Neat!!
I like that Tess!!!!
glue it down! it looks super ...
calligraphy with no pressure is a great resolution ...
Your calligraphy is wonderful and I am loving your watercolor girls. The journals with poppies on look great, I think they will sell well.
