More Paintings

I try to paint everyday.  Sometimes I have to scrape it off but usually I get one that I like from a still life. I paint from photos too.
I am excited about taking a class from the wonderful Nancy Franke.
Can't wait!

Recent Art.--all sizes

I try to paint everyday so I do get behind in posting here on my blog.  It sure seems like Facebook
has kinda taken over the enthusiasm for blogs these days but that's life--everything changes.
I am about 7 years into my oil painting journey now.  I still wonder if I have found my style. I think it changes sometimes as I take a workshop or I am influenced by the fabulous art of some of my favorite artists.  I have many and just to name a few:
Melanie Morris
Nancy Franke
Trish Adams
Alice Williams
Connie Winters
and from here in Jacksonville, Paul Ladnier.

I have taken workshops from all of these except Nancy Franke whose workshops fill up in a matter of  minutes I think.  I am on a waiting list for Nancy Franke so hopefully I will be able to take one for with her.
I guess if I have a style it's probably a combination of all of these wonderful painters.
They are all impressionists and painterly painters. I love them all.
All of these paintings are up on my fine art website.

Complete Guide to Bible Journaling

I am so excited to have been chosen to be a part of this wonderful book by
Joanne Fink.  Joanne, the creator of Zenspirations, has done a fabulous job with this book
showing anyone who would like to start Bible journaling just how to do it.

For me Bible Journaling is a very inspiring way to really think about Scripture because when you create art with lettering and drawn images that Scripture really takes on special meaning.
It is a very rewarding way to create.

Joanne has added stickers, letters as well as complete Bible-ready art on a vellum-like transparency paper that you can just paste right into your Journaling Bible.
She has truly thought of everything that you need to know about
getting started in Bible Journaling or just helping you to continue your journey.
You can get the book on Amazon. or at Zenspirations.com.

Thank you, Joanne!
Great job!!!

This is way out of my comfort zone but it was fun.

Red Bard in the Meadow

This is a 10 x 30. This one was fun! I didn't accomplish the 30 paintings
in 30 days challenge but it's ok.
Actually, it was too much pressure.
I don't paint well under pressure.

Painting Day 8

This is Bessie.
She is enjoying the spring sunshine. In this cold here in Florida this one was comforting to paint.
I love cows.  Wish I had one as a pet. I guess I would have to live on a farm though.

Delight Yourself

Haven't painted yet today so nothing to post for 30 Paintings in 30 Days but
it's still early afternoon so it might still happen.
This is one of my favorite Scriptures.

Day 4 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

This was a hard one. I painted along with a video I had bought a year or so ago and never did it. Now I can see why. Rocks! But she has a lovely way of painting things a completely different color than they really are.  I think my rocks look a bit like moldy ham.
