I love adding words to my journal pages that are "Gotha-sized". Maybe I will do an online workshop to teach how to do these letterforms. I would only use calligraphy markers so that would be the only supply. It is surprisingly easy. Here are some examples here, and here, and here. There are various others but these are just a few. Maybe so...
And I just had to post this---bear with me. There are far off family members to check my blog. Baby Marc is walking behind the Radio Flyer that Nana bought him for Christmas. He's working so hard!

You know Martha, your journals are becoming individual art galleries!!
They are beautiful!!!
You need to send some in to Somerset for their "Art Journaling" publication or some other - really you do!!
You have such beautiful ideas for your journal. Love the darker yellow color of the Pear page.

So beautiful! Now I need to find out what copic markers are and add it to my list of things I NEED. :) I was wondering what you usually do your background out of? They add so much personality to your pages!

First of all, baby Mark and that video are precious. That gives me a great idea for my now 7 mo old grandson's one year birthday present. My husband and I had only girls and so having a grandson now is great but I need ideas for him. Thanks!
I just love how you explain the steps for doing your journal pages and the way you do it in steps such as coloring the pears and peppers first and later collage on. I wouldn't have thought of that. I've must buy some copic markers. They sound wonderful.
I was a little discouraged last evening when I decided to take an hour or so to make a journal page. The imagination didn't cooperate and I didn't like the outcome. I forced it to much I think. You make it look so easy. I plan to take one of your art classes online soon. Maybe then, my lettering won't be so tough for me. I just love WORDS ! I would like learning these letterforms.

I really think someone should publish your journal - it is a true work of art.
I can't believe how big baby Marc is already!
I think everyone's in love with this little guy!...and your pears!
We're lining up to take your classes.
You make everything look so easy.
Sign me up for this one too.
(You're on the news--about how c-c-c-cold it is there. Do you paint with gloves on?)
Hi Martha! Your journal pages are so beautiful. I love that blue flower, and all that gorgeous writing!!! Baby Marc is just a little snuggle bunny! xoxo
