Bernie, the official portrait.
I made another stencil book yesterday with the intention of sewing it on the machine. The background above is a left over scrap of the book. Well, I think I pushed my little Bernie to a point she wouldn't go---but what I did was rather stupid come to think of it but it didn't hurt her. She is a tough little thing. This top image was ---well, just sewn on to see what it would look like. I had written the quote the other day on a scrap. Looks ok.... I wouldn't frame it or anything but it's kinda interesting. It might look like it was just stuck on there with no cohesiveness or integration. So here is my new motto---"just because I can stitch it on doesn't mean that I should! " I will take some pictures and blog the stencil book tomorrow.

This is my favorite one. I think that I will save all my calligraphy scraps and even make some more to sew in books.

You have no idea what you are doing to me. I'm at the office and when I see such inspiration (and not at home to play ART) it give me Art Anxiety Attacks. I feel it in my chest. These little books are so fabulous. No wonder you wanted a new Bernie
So glad to see you are feeding Bernie some of the best thread on the market. She will live a long adn healthy life this way. I got another one yesterday. Yes, I have a sickness.
Martha.....another really cute, cute book. You are full of such wonderful ideas!! Love your new maching and what it does!!! Might have to drag mine out too!!! I just have a SEARS.....booohooo!!!! LOL!! But it does do fancy stitching......

you can never go wrong with a great friend named bernie!! so glad you gals are having a good time together....you seem to be taking to one another quite well!! i LOVE your new books....we're definitely gonna have to get together SOON!! although, i hope that bernie doesn't mind my "brother" (he's not very sophisticated). hug, hug....
