Daffodils--by the hardest...

Well, maybe they are not so bad but boy! were they hard to paint. Yellows are not easy---but actually they look a little better here than in person. I might just go on to Tulips now. Those might be easier. But---we'll shall see.  I love the blue and the yellow---that is always pleasing to me.
And look below-----that was me painting the Daffodils! It took many tries to get something that looked half way bloggable. Anyway, this is what I felt like.  Ever felt like this?

I love the daffodils - such a happy flower - not such a happy painter of them though by the sounds of it, hehe. You have done a brilliant job and I love the blue and yellow too - so fresh.

This is a beautiful painting! I sure I could get the hang of watercolors.

Hon, don't be afraid to post something you don't think is stellar. Most times you can get some really good advice from other if you them what you are struggling with.

Your daffodils are lovely Martha - they remind me of the beautiful Springs when we lived in North Carolina... The "ruffles" turned out great. Like you, I think the ruffle is the hardest part of drawing/painting a daffodil.

LOL!!!! Love the pix of the "unhappy" painter!! We all feel like that sometimes...I think your daffies are so pretty! We are all our own worst critics, you know! Great first attempt! I have tried them, but they are just yellow blobs. Need to practice more for sure.

I love this painting because of the blue and yellow together. I think it's quite nice. I received a bundle of daffodils from my hubby last week for Daffodil Days here. That picture of the little girl painting is so comical. Now, now, Did you really feel like that? So cute!!

Your daffodils are cheery and bright - I too love the play of yellow (with a dab of orange) and blue.

And, yes I feel her frustration... right now... on my own project!
