Tulip Time

The tulips are just so beautiful now. I haven't seen any growing in a garden around here but I do see them in Publix and that might be the closest I will see them. So I decided I just needed to paint some flowers today. Sometimes I get too far away from my watercolor and have to move back in. I used Hydrus watercolors because they are very bright and I wanted bright. And bright they are. I outlined with a nib and India ink and wrote Spring Tulips with that nib. Ok, that made me happy!

Martha, I love the thought of "Tulips dancing all around" Next time I get frustrated with them moving that's what I will think!!

Makes me love them even more!!! :)

Hugs!!!

Thanks for the reminder that Spring might actually come. We had the biggest snowstorm of the year yesterday in SLC. We'll be skiing into June.
Lovely work on the tulips.

I have been away from my paints, pens, pencils, everything having to do with journaling and sketching for quite some time now! I don't know why...but I'm so into the textiles right now....
crochet and knitting!

i am so inspired to paint when I come here to see your blog Martha! I really must get back to artful journaling, I miss it!

Thanks for the reminder! lol

These tulips are beautiful and so is your writing. We have a few dandelions in our yard but then we got hail today in a severe thunderstorm. Never know what midwest weather will do.
