New studio and some paintings

Well, maybe some of you on Facebook have seen my new painting space since Zach, our son, has his offices at the Red Door Art studio.  I do love this little space so far and I have actually painted a few paintings here too. I was nervous at first hoping it had the right "funky shui" feel so I could do some paintings. So far so good.

Here is one I did yesterday:
I actually set us a still life and painted it. I always feel good about myself when I paint from life. I actually think I do a little better too looking at it from life as opposed to a photograph.

"funky shui" ..love it....

probably in real life you can see the shadows and perspective better than in photos... get a better feel for things...

looks great....

Hope your new studio is everything you need it to be. You're a generous mom giving up your beautiful red door studio for your son! And your painting is as beautiful as ever….you could paint in a large cardboard box and it still would be beautiful! Heading over to FB now and get a peek!
