The Girl in the Straw Hat

Ok, well, I did some digging and it's better not to put acrylic products over even water soluble oils. My fellow artist blogger friend, Sherry, told me this also. Although the research I did said that it might be ok but it is not time tested. I will probably print this girl and put her up on Etsy. I used molding paste for her hat, a technique I saw from another fellow artist blogger friend, Brenda. The hat looks pretty cool in person. She is 12 x 24. This was good for me to try this large piece so i I know I can do it and hopefully I can make more of these girls in this size.

I think she is my favorite girl, she is so pretty and I love the hat and the colors. She reminds me of a cousin of mine.

Great piece Martha. The hat is my favorite part. Just sets off the entire painting.
