Pear on Pink

This pear is on a 5x7 sheet of St. Armand's paper. I am trying different watercolor papers and still my favorite is Arches 140 lb cold press. There is nothing much better than that for watercolor. Fabriano is good too but I think that Arches beats it for watercolor.
As I told you I am on a "pear tear" so you will see lots of pears in the coming days. I try to paint one everyday. I plan to do them in watercolor and acrylic.

Beautiful Martha! I love painting pears too, and I've just started to play around with watercolors--not quite sure what I'm doing, but I'll keep going.
P.S. You can do everything good!!

Beautiful pear and I will look forward to your next one(s). Also thank you for your insight on paper. I have always liked Arches too-hot, cold & rough.

Martha may i repost this on my facebook page & my regular blog (6degrees of geekdom)? This is just so stunning and exactly the right color punch to perk up some sad and grumpy co-workers. What I would really love is to have it hanging at work... but c'est la vie.

This is stunning. I can not even begin to describe how happy that mad my heart!

Martha, your pears are so life like that I want to just pluck them from the paper. You get so much texture in them. Wonderful!
