Framed and ready

Here is the other frame Chauncey made for this heavy chunk of 24x24 wood. It is very heavy and the frame makes it even heavier. I think I like the black frame on it. It needs something because it would be like a big board up on a wall.
And I really couldn't stand this one and painted over it back down to the lonely pot. Oh, what to do with the lonely pot? Perhaps just let it sit and get lonelier. For some reason this one is apparently the art thorn in my side right now.  Who knows what I will do with it. Perhaps nothing.

These are so gorgeous! I love them. How about just 2 or 3 pouty poppies in that vase? or one happy sunflower?

okay, you know Martha I love the second painting as it is. I love the color combination, the muted browns, blues, and terracotta...and I like that the pot is empty for some reason...like it's just waiting...

I really like your 2nd painting with just the plain vase. I love the colors, the textures in the piece. It really appeals to me just as it is. :) :) :)

That finished one is a beauty, for sure. And the empty pot seems to have all the "right" lines and proportions. You could always paint flowers ON the pot, but it's lovely the way it is-perfect.

Wow, I can just imagine just how wonderful they all look together!
Amazing and full of life!

I love your pot. I'm reminded of II Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not us." Blessings, Karon

Oh Martha, you flowers look just beautiful in that black frame. The colors just PoP! Thanks for sharing it.
Hey, I like the "lonely pot". Why does everything have to be in use. Can't this beautiful pot just be itself, standing in wonder, waiting to be filled with flowers ,or not, but in the meantime just being itself, just pure spirit?
