Mixed Media Pear

Well, one of these days I might pick another fruit to paint or even a vegetable. This pear started out as watercolor and ended up with acrylic on the bottom with stamps.  I am trying to go back to my original goal when I started this blog...to do a painting a day. Sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't.  But  doing these exercises with the Robert Burridge's videos it's easier to paint every day because it's fast. You know I am into fast!
Here is a journal spread:

I love your journal spreads - it doesn't matter what they say as they are all just beautiful and filled with little pieces of art...and this pear!!! My, my, my! I share your love of pears . . . I love the colors of this piece especially the shading on the upper right...and the additional texture you've added just makes this a eye-pleasing piece...

VEry nice pear! I love the pears too and have been painting a few lately. What is it about that little fruit?
I guess it's just a little more curvacious than an apple and much more interesting than a banana! Anyway..thanks so much for visiting my Gifts of Creation Learning ARt blog and noticing the kids work! I am so proud of them.

Hi Martha - just wanted to say how much I love your journal pages and this pear in particular is beautiful - I love how you add so many elements onto your art, the more you look the more you find!
