Transfer Girl

This girl was a failed transfer in this little 6x6 journal I have (which I love!) and I almost tore her out but there was something I liked about the look of it. I decided to try to bring her face forward and just leave most of the distressed background.
Note to self: don't tear anything out too quickly--you just never know what the muse will have you do with it later.

Love her distressed look.
You should never tear pages out of your journal :) At least not to throw them away.
Where I live, we say something like this: In 7 years everything comes of use :)

See, if I got a transfer to look like this, I would be DELIGHTED. I love the look of her- she looks like a beautiful, modern illustration but somehow found on the wall of an ancient castle unearthed. She looks ethereal.

I am so curious about how you achieved the look you did! I'd love to know the technique so *I* can try it!! So, to me, it's definitely NOT a failed transfer!

This girl appears to have an opposite personality of the last one.
Transfer Girl appears very self-confident and worldly. I'd say this was a found treasure.

This is definitely a lesson in do not destroy or tear out anything you do. She is beautiful and mysterious and has an entire story behind her face you brought forth. So amazing...

Yes, I love when a transfer doesn't turn out good--that ghostly effect--it's very cool!
