Pumpkin and Gourd thingy

Today was drawing class and we drew pumpkins and these warty gourd things. The warty gourd thing is not my favorite but I like the little pumpkin better. Then I used the Copics to color in. The warts were hard to draw because they had a shadow and a highlight and well---it was hard to draw those warts and make it look right. But it's all for practice and everything I draw makes me a better--draw--er. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Looks like we just might get a little bit of cooler weather here. I'm ready for some fall weather.

Sunflowers

I will be here at my daughter's house for a week or so but while the baby is sleeping I can draw or paint and today I drew these beautiful sunflowers that her sister in law gave her. The flowers are so beautiful here in Greenville, SC, especially in her yard so hopefully I can paint or draw some more. I love being here with my new grand baby.

Girls In the Small Journal

Make sure you always take your small Molskine or whatever journal you have with you at all times--especially when you waiting in the Dr's office. The time flies by and you don't think about being at the dr's office and before you know it they call you and your's done. I actually like using a regular pencil although I do like using a 2or 3B. But usually it is so messy and smuggie that I would rather just use the regular HB. Have a wonderful day!
