Midnight Bird

Ok, well, here is another midnight painting. He is a color drop bird but with other mixed media backgrounds going on.  I actually messed up the sky background area and added acrylic and some stamps. I have still been thinking about this Color Drop Bird class. I have a lots of things are swirling around in my head, CalligraFUN ll, Versa Doodles, birds. I will just have to see if it's enough for a whole class. The leaves and flowers are hand carved stamps.

Hi Martha,
I'm always so happy to see a new post in my Google Reader. I have all my supplies and am just waiting for the class to be put back up. In the meantime I've been practicing trying to replicate the birds and Iris you posted. I NEED the class...lol! I got a note from them saying it should just be a couple of days.

I am thinking of signing up for your Caligra-Fun workshop but am a confused about the markers required. Do I need Zig Brushables, Scroll and Brush and writers? Do I need Marvy Le Plume II or Tombo Markers as well. What colours would I need to get? You class looks like great fun and I would like to take other classes after this one. I love the freedom of your art. Thanks.

Thank you for your suggestions of Brushables colours to start with, could you suggest some beginner colours for the Writers as well. Thank you so much, I am looking forward to starting your classes when I have the supplies. I will be taking the drop flowers eventually as well and look forward to the bird class if you decide to do it. I was looking at a painting by Susan Cornlius this evening of a butterfly and thought butterflies would lend themselves well to the drop techniques as well. Thank you for your kind comment on my crocus.

I certainly love the new class ideas, particularly the birds, but I would happily sign up for them all.
