As you know, I do love this Scripture, and as I said before it's one of the few that I have memorized. Sometimes when the calligraphy bug is biting and I sit down to practice I just start writing this verse. There are others too..."the joy of the LORD is your strength","create in me a clean heart..." And if it works then I scan it, save it, and use it. This is actually a background that I did many months ago in Julie Prichard's Layer Love class and decided to pull it out and add something to it. It was rather plain before but had some neat textures.
So another...

Hi Martha, love your background on this one,I'm glad you finished it.
I love this verse, too. I need to read it, say it, memorize it...every day. I love your blue layers and brights, Martha. This is the perfect way to begin my day. Thank you! Enjoy yours!
What a fitting background to such a beautiful quote. Love your lettering.
As always: Beautiful! Such great colors and ooohhh, texture!
love the background, very unique and of course your lettering is just the best :-)
Great verse and my favorite colors!
i love this Scripture, too....it's a great one to have memorized!!! now if i could just figure out how to letter it as gorgeously as you do!!! LOVE it on this background, too!!! xoxox, :))
beautiful, beautiful colors. love the little stars sprinkled on the page.
Looks wonderful like a late sky...so wonderful
I so enjoy your work. My favourites are:
Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all these things will be added unto you.
Always a promise that if we serve the Lord He really will provide.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding...is another of my favourites.
Did you use white gouche for the lettering?
Not only the scripture but the dreamy colors (my favorites!) can take away any stress there may be. Thank you for inspiring my soul.
...and it is BEAUTIFUL! The mysterious and lovely background goes so well with that verse. Many times the path in front of us looks a bit overwhelmingly mysterious but all at the same time exciting too!
martha, the color scheme on this one is gorgeous... and the lettering impeccably done as always!
