I always enjoy assembling these journal pages. I tried something new this time and put Golden Absorbent Grounds on areas of the pages so I could paint some watercolor flowers without the thin pages melting away with the water. I love doing these pages because I get to use my stamps. I love stamps. I love the ones that I carve as well as the ones I buy. Some people don't like to use anything but their own carved stamps because they are unique to them, which is great, but I say I like to use all my stamps bought or carved and use them in a unique way.
Below are my guys cooking a Mother's Day dinner for Chauncey's sister, Rachel, his parents and me. They cooked Hot Chicken Salad which was one of my mother's recipes which is extremely involved but EXTREMELY delicious! They did a great job. And I am extremely blessed to have these two great guys in my life.
Did they clean up too???
ReplyDeleteThis photo could go on a journal page!!
Glad you were pampered...I was too!
I love the journal pages in your big journal, they remind me of Judy Wise's style.

ReplyDeleteLuscious color on the journal page! Who cleaned up the kitchen? Cause we can see the dish is complex, and it was a job! How nice to have them cook for all of you.

Gorgeous journal spread!
ReplyDeleteLove your big journal! I'm curious as to why you don't think you'll use the absorbent ground again? I like the font you write in when you print. (the smaller writing in all caps) Is it a specific font or just the way you write? ~ Karen
