10 Minute Color Drop Bird

Well, I got up my courage and painted a color drop bird. I have always wanted to paint birds and really haven't had much success at all. So I decided to sketch one out from a Dover bird book and flooded in the color and blotted up for a light source as we do in the Color Drop Flower class. He is on a scrap piece of paper and I would have continued more leaves but I ran out of paper. He was fun to do. I think that I will try some more and drop in some Dr. Martins Ph Concentrated watercolors. Then they they will really be bright. I used the sumi-e brush. He was fun and...yes...quick!! You know me...I am into instant gratification!
