I thought I would just post the Tulips from yesterday's journal because it's a Monday (you are seeing this on Tuesday) and the Tulips brighten up and gray, rainy cold day here is Jacksonville. Bucky doesn't like the weather either because he has been right under my feet all morning. I did squeeze in one more journal page. I am hoping to continue my journaling everyday...at least that is my plan. Below is the journal page for today in the Canson Mixed media journal (7x10) from Michaels.
beautiful tulips....what a nice sight in the middle of winter!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really brightened my day.
Good luck with your envelope project.
Thank you for your gorgeous bright cheery tulips as it is a gray and blustery day here as we await rain and possible snow. Love your journal page and your reference to Mrs. Beaty smiling. Happy enveloping...
ReplyDeleteMartha!

The colors, the joy, the lettering! Totally precious!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful work!

I'm curious about the method you will use to hand letter the wedding invitation envelopes. I found it helpful to make a template (smooth cardstock)that fit inside the envelope. The card had dark lines (drawn or computer generated) for the address and a vertical line to show the centre. These lines could be seen through the front of the envelope making it a helpful guide for the calligraphy. Also, the card covered any folded parts on the back of the envelope. You may already have this all organized, but just thought I mention my plan.
ReplyDeleteI just love your writing too. I am a handwriting analyst so I have also been interested in writing for years but I stuggle with calligraphy which is why I really appreciate your work.
ReplyDeleteMartha, your journals are soooooo incredibly beautiful. I wish I could make mine as beautiful as yours ... but I can't draw at all or paint such beautiful things as you do.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Keep going!
Greetings from Belgium!

Oh yes...I too remember being the only one in class that was allowed to write in cursive handwriting a year before it was time...others tried but were told to wait a while longer so as to be legible...that really meant the world to me..and I have consciously "written well" ever since! I too was hooked!
ReplyDeleteCiao again!
