EXPECT

I just got a few new colors of Adirondack spray in the new improved 2oz spray bottle. You know how I love to spray! This really was an experiment of sorts that was fairly successful. I have always wanted to write in whire calligraphy or Sharpie white poster paint markers on these inks and I have found that these markers or calligraphy inks won't sit on top of the inks and the inks actually bleed through. My experiment was to seal the inks with Jacquard NO FLOW, which is actually for fabrics, but it works on paper too. It smears just a bit going on but not enough to cry about so---today I found the solution so I can write on the spray thing-ies. YAY!

Now I guess now I better to go to Walgreens for toilet paper. Oh the dreaded interferences with the art journey! Well, while I am there I guess I better get some bows for the packages, too. Y'all have a happy day!

  3. This looks great. What is new and improved about the spray inks? Less dribbles or something? The colors are certainly deep and rich. And it's always nice to find a solution to a problem as you did with the white lettering. Love the "Believe" girl from the other day, too.

  5. I love this, the colors are stunning and the calligraphy, well....be still my heart! I am glad to hear about you ability to 'set' the ink - I have had trouble with that in the past and I adore their color palette.

  12. last nite I dreamed up a art/gift idea and thought "I wish I could write on 'em like Martha"! oh well.

I know I have some no-flow somewhere. hmmm. after I spray or do water color washes, I just hit the page litely with matte spray paint so there's no bleeding or running in subsequent layers. if smearing is okay, I use clear gesso.
