Bright just makes me happy


I don't know if any of you follow Kelly Nina Perkins but everytime I see a new post on my blog roll her colors always catch my eye. I love her video Stitch Imagery and I decided to pull out one of my sketches from a previous drawing class and paint it. I used Dr. Ph. Martin's transparent concentrated watercolors which I have has for about 25 years--really, I have!  I love them so much I would like to get a few other colors. I love painting these paintings because all you really have to think about is what colors to use because watercolor techniques are not necessary. But what colors to use--that can be daunting sometimes actually. Know what I mean!!??
Oh, and I sewed around the images.

    Its funny how each of us are attracted to different colors. Your piece is Beautiful,I like the sewing around the edge of the images.

    Love love this piece!! I jsut purchased one of Kelli's wonderful little create books form her Etsy!! I just had to have one of her creations in my hands!!!
    Now I am off to find a good source for Dr M's Inks!!!!!
