Faces in Techicolor

Sharon Tomlinson of All Norah's Art is one of my favorite artists and this class is challenging but really fun. The painting below was the first one I painted with the colors and I was a bit shy to add color. It's hard to add blues and greens and purples to the face! Yikes. Then on the painting above I kinda over did it. She is drawn from a model as a reference and she looks very mad. This girl looked like a vampire at first...a beautiful one... and I almost left her all washed out but decided to go ahead and add some color. I tried to think of a scenario but all I could think of was that she was concerned for the land. Oh well, whatever...

  1. Oh I just love both of these,I love the colors in their faces. That would be scary though to ad those colors. I'm still working with the basic colors LOL. Sounds like a fun class!

  2. Oh my, definitely different from what your faces usually look like. If the first one is concerned for the land she is very upset. Maybe she is mother nature about to give us all a scolding. Or she's a cross between a human and the Avatar people...

  3. Oh my goodness, these are so cool, Martha! I couldn't imagine adding purples and greens and blues to a face right now, but you did it! I can't get over how many classes you dive into so well. Hugs, Kathy
