This is a show that is currently up at the Women's Center here in Jacksonville and this was in our Jacksonville Arbus Magazine which is a local art magazine. This piece actually sold and it was exciting to have them use my image in the magazine. Too bad they didn't put my name but---oh well, can't have everything!
Congratulations! Yes, you HAVE been published!

Congrats Martha! Nice piece and what fun to have a show.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! YES- Kim is right: you have been published!
ReplyDeleteYes you have!!
ReplyDeleteI can believe they did not put your name on it either!!!!
They should have put your name on it!!!
Congratulations. Those that know you will recognize your work. In the meantime write a nice thank you letter to the editor and who know's they may print it and there will be your name. Hee Hee! I would so be there if I were in Florida to see your work displayed. I'd love to see the magazine. We don't have a art magazine in our area. Too bad!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Martha! Beautiful piece.
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way to Metro Diner to grab a copy!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhhh our 15 minutes are fun!
Congratulations! Your work is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMartha, Congratualations!!! And I would classify that as a publishing!
ReplyDeleteIf your work is in print, it is a publishing. Congratulations. So very wrong not to have your name by your work. What were they thinking?
ReplyDeleteYou are published!! This is exciting! It's beautiful, but yes, your name should have been on it, totally. Congrats, Martha! celebrate!
ReplyDeleteYeah! that's awesome Martha! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteGlad your surgery went well. We know all about that implant stuff, don't we?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new found fame!! Just teasing you! That is great and a good boost to the ego! You never know, it might send some biz your way. I always have loved your poppy works...you really did so well with them!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you should have added your name so people know where to look for the artwork. This counts to be published!!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever designed scrapbook paper? If so...I think I might have some of yours.
Congratulations, that is a beautiful piece, is it water color? It's a shame they didn't use your name, but like others here have said, I'm sure people will know your work. So nice you live somewhere that has an "art magazine!" We only have a casino/gambling magazine, ha. Thanks for your sweet comment and for following my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...WOW but they should have put your name...next time I am sure they will....
ReplyDeleteYou go girl.....
Hugs and Blessings,
Butterfly
Way to go Martha! Congrats on being featured and on the sale of the piece!
ReplyDeleteThat's fabulous, congrats Martha!!! And I would definitely mention their oversight - get your 'credit due' girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your poppies! To me you're more than published. You're Martha!
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! I know even more great things will happen with your art!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Martha!
ReplyDeleteWhen you sold the art, did you give them rights to publish? That does NOT automatically come with selling your work. If you didn't, you should have been asked for permission and to be given credit.
But so many people don't know this.
So a nice thank you letter to the editor as someone has suggested should be done.... and a request to make an note in the next issue giving you credit.
That's my 2 cents.
