I made a fabric journal

I had not sewn anything in too long and when Bernie gets put aside she gets pesky. I am sure it was just me. I need to sew more often because I couldn't even figure out how to wind the bobbin---good grief. How quickly we forget. And I will do anything to avoid instructional manuals. It's true, if you don't use it- you will lose it---at least for me anyway. I didn't get the bobbin figured out so I just had to use the one that was in there. I used Fabriano note cards that come already folded. It has 4 signatures of 4 pages each. So that give me---hummmm...oops-- math involved!...lots of front and back pages...!

  1. Hi Martha,
WOW! I love your new journal. You make me laugh, too. I am the same way about NOT reading instruction manuals!

  2. Martha,

I love this. Unfortunately, I sold my sewing machine several years ago.

I'm thinking I could make a fabric journal with wonderunder and an iron?

  3. Martha, I love your blog...and you. How do you get so much art done? It boggles my mind.
Where do you get Fabriano already folded note cards? What a great short cut.

  7. That's so funny because lately I've been thinking about getting a new sewing machine (I used to have one years ago), but now that you've reminded me about how bad I was with manuals and the bobbin-thingy...well, I am still just thinking about this! Ack! Love your sewing though, and adorable journal! Did you have a wonderful birthday? ♥

  8. I also just took out my sewing machine and know what you mean about not using it and losing it.
Love your journal. I've always like books but never made a fabric sewn one so you've just inspired me...once again.

  9. How adorable! So girlie girl :). If you don't already have a line of them, I strongly suggest you start one! We girls will buy these. I personally like pink, flower, victorian type patterns. I would buy it in a heartbeat!

    Keep them coming!
