Art Opening Last Night

Last night was the art opening of the "From the Studio Of..." show at the Women's Center here in Jacksonville. It was very exciting to see my art up on the wall along with all the other wonderful art. There were so many different styles from great Jacksonville artists and I feel very privileged to be apart of it. AND...I sold this piece! It's always nice to sell one---even though you feel like you are selling a part of yourself.

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!!!

  8. Congrats Martha; it's so validating when someone supports your art! Yet it's always hard to give away one of your babies. But there's such a creative abundance inside you. I believe it.

  10. i am sure that you deserved every minute of recognition that you got at the show, martha! and of course this delightful piece sold!! i too feel like i sell a bit of myself off when i sell a piece. i am still so in the beginning stages of becoming an artist and seldom feel like a piece is really good or done or what i envisioned. it's all a gowing process, i know!
