A Virtuous Woman



This is on the background of the first canvas I posted several days back. The Scripture is from Proverbs 31--"Strength and dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the days to come".... and there is Scripture along the sides.

    Martha, I was just catching up on your blog and can I just say YOU ARE AMAZING! I love the women you are painting SO much. The backgrounds are just gorgeous and the faces and expressions are gorgeous. This one is so sweet and the 2 girls with butterflies in their hair a while back!?! LOVE!     With her eyes closed like that she seems to be praying joyfully or humming a little tune to herself. Maybe she's just soaking up sunshine. Lovely!

    i really like the calm and peaceful, almost meditative look on her face. perfect subject for the delightful background! how fun to see the background a few days ago and then today see the finished piece.
