JOURNALING--Poppies

I am going to start to work in my (many!) art journals. This one is a Moleskine watercolor journal. I have all sorts of journals on order to try and see which is the best for me. I will let you know. So far, the Moleskine is the best but I will try all other kinds. I am funny about writing in my journal. Although sometimes I will write things, I have another personal journal I keep in a Composition notebook. I really dislike my handwriting and being a calligrapher, if it isn't written in calligraphy--well, it just ain't right--- so most of the time it'll be just art. These are---guess what???---POPPIES!!--in acrylic.

  1. I love the poppies! I know what you mean about handwriting, too- many times my journals have a nice background, some images etc. and I end up not writing on the page-- because I don't want to cover up the 'picture'! LOL

  2. This is beautiful..I've seen several blogs about art journals. What do people do with art journals? Is it just for fun?
Anyway, I can't believe you don't like your own handwriting!!!! That is funny.

  4. I think your pages are just beautiful and I would venture to guess your handwriting is not as bad as you think it is. :-)
I love how you made this into a two spread piece.
As for what people do with art journals. I would love if a past relative had done one and I inherited it. That would be an awesome item. I also think some art journals are eventually sold by the artists years later when they are ready topart with them.
